Janet’s Corner

Janet Connolly O'Neill

On August 30th, 2002, this world lost a wonderful woman. Not only was Janet Connolly O’Neill an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, friend, neighbor and teacher, she was a crusader; a crusader against a disease that she fought valiantly for thirteen years, a disease that she succumbed to at only fifty-one.  She listened and gave support when  friends and acquaintances were diagnosed with cancer, she gave strength to those around her dealing with their own personal challenges, she gave hope to her family each time her doctor gave her a plan after a reoccurrence, she gave us laughter when we needed it and she gave us the courage to fight her battle alongside her through raising funds to support breast cancer research. Her smile is missed, but her vivacious spirit lives on in the organization she co-founded, Friends Fighting Breast Cancer (FFBC).

Please continue to visit our site as we post more on Janet’s battle with breast cancer and her inspiring words of wisdom.
