What We Do

Friends Fighting Breast Cancer was born from the single idea that friends joining together in support of one special cause can and will make a difference and we are doing just that! Since 1996, we have partnered with organizations to make hats and turbans for those who lost their hair after chemotherapy, hosted ten signature gala events as well as golf tournaments, silent auctions, masquerade balls, run/walks, quilt-a-thons, fashion shows and wine tastings.  All of the proceeds from these events are donated to Massachusetts General Hospital. As of September 2013, we have raised $960,000 towards breast cancer research and we are not stopping there! We are dedicated to supporting research efforts so that one day we can shout from the rooftops that a cure to breast cancer has been found.

In addition to raising funds for much needed independent research, the group recently created the Care Committee to help support those who are going through their own battle with breast cancer by sending flowers and a card signed by the committee.  If we can brighten the day of someone undergoing treatment and let them know we are behind them and that we are out there raising funds to find a cure for this prolific disease, we can give them hope. We know we can beat this to make the shared dream of a cure for breast cancer come true.
